This is a 15 year old blended whisky from Michel Couvreur, bottled in a 1.5 litre magnum at 47% ABV. It combines a larger share of grain whisky from 2007 with a smaller share of lightly peated malt from 2010. Both are Scottish distillates, matured in sherry casks in the rock cellars of Bouze-lès-Beaune in Burgundy. Many of the casks come from the Pedro Ximénez tradition, with fresh sherry casks added alongside them. The malt brings structure, spice and a gentle smoke, while the grain gives a soft base. Only 24 magnums of this edition exist.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
