Michel Couvreur Very Sherried is a 25 year old single malt in a 50cl bottle, at 45%. The spirit was distilled in Scotland on 19 September 1993, aged in the Burgundian cellars of Michel Couvreur and bottled on 1 April 2020. 500 bottles were produced.
The cellar at Bouze-les-Beaune is a 500-foot tunnel kept humid by natural springs. The whisky matures there in sherry casks, Pedro Ximenez and/or Palomino. The humidity speeds the reduction in alcohol in the casks, which allows the floral and fruity aromas to develop.
