Michel Couvreur Very Sherried 25 Year Old (50cl, 45%)

Michel Couvreur Very Sherried is a 25 year old single malt at 45%, in a 50cl bottle. It was distilled in Scotland on 19 September 1993 and bottled on 1 April 2020, with 500 bottles produced. The whisky matured in the Burgundian cellar of Michel Couvreur at Bouze-les-Beaune, in sherry casks that were Pedro Ximenez and/or Palomino. The cellar is a 500-foot tunnel kept humid by natural springs. That humidity is credited with a fast reduction in strength in the casks, which lets the floral and fruity aromas develop and gives the whiskies a rare freshness.
