This is the second annual edition of Michter's toasted barrel finish programme, a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Michter's Distillery in Louisville, released in 2015 and sold in a 750ml bottle.
The bourbon is finished in a second barrel that has been toasted rather than charred. The aim is to draw out caramelised hemicellulose compounds that charred-only ageing does not provide.
