Michter's Original Sour Mash is an American whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% abv. Its mash is put together in a way that makes it neither a bourbon nor a rye. Sour mash describes the method, in which fermentation is started by adding a mash that has already been distilled.
It is chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Tasting notes describe a sweet, spicy whiskey with a slight sharpness, carrying honey, vanilla, candied cherries and a little smoke.
