Michter's Small Batch American Whiskey (70cl, 41.7%)

Michter's Small Batch is an unblended American whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 41.7% ABV. It is matured in ex-whiskey casks, unlike the bourbon and rye designations, which prescribe otherwise. That maturation gives it a full-bodied intensity, and its sweetness and smoothness are faintly reminiscent of rum. It is chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose is intense and voluminous, led by vanilla and butterscotch. On the palate come vanilla, caramel and dried exotic fruit, and the finish carries long, ripe fruit.
