Michter's Straight Rye (70cl, 42.4%)

This is Michter's Kentucky Straight Rye, a rye whiskey from a distillery whose reputation has long rested on its ryes. It is produced as a single barrel bottling, in a 70cl bottle at 42.4% ABV. It is bottled without added colour and has been chill-filtered. The nose is spicy rye with fresh hay. On the palate a clear, typically rye spiciness is woven into citrus and butterscotch. The finish is soft and long, with peppery green notes.
