Milam & Greene Bottled in Bond is a straight bourbon at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled at Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky in autumn 2019, aged in char-4 new American oak barrels in a bonded warehouse, then hand-bottled in Blanco, Texas.
The mash bill is 72% corn, 22% malted rye and 8% malted barley, which gives it a high share of malted rye.
The nose has vanilla, milk chocolate, caramel, brown sugar and tart orange. The palate adds cherry, mild rye spice and cracked black pepper. The finish is fairly long, with black pepper, dry oak and orange peel.
