This is a blended straight bourbon from Milam & Greene, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It combines column-still bourbon distilled in Bardstown, Kentucky with spirit from the pot still at the brand's own distillery in Blanco, Texas.
Select barrels are moved from Kentucky to the Texas Hill Country for further maturation, a step the brand calls Texification. Both components use a mashbill of 70% corn, 22% rye and 8% malted barley.
The nose is toasted pecans, brown sugar, ripe plum, orange zest and maple syrup. The palate brings maple, caramel, cherry, toffee and roasted peanuts. The finish is medium, with maple sugar, leather, toasted oak and late black pepper.
