Moletto Grappa di Nebbiolo da Barolo (75cl, 43%)

Moletto Grappa di Nebbiolo da Barolo is a barrel-aged Italian grappa distilled from the pomace of Nebbiolo, the grape behind Barolo. It is made in Moletto's copper stills and bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. Most grappa is clear, but this one rests in oak until it takes on a pale golden colour. The nose brings dried and baked fruit, including plum, pear and golden raisin, along with suede, toasted nuts, acacia honey and heather. The palate carries stone fruit and autumn fruit with a gently tannic texture, and the finish has white-pepper spice. It is suited to serving at room temperature after dinner.
