Monkey Shoulder (70cl)

Monkey Shoulder is a Scotch blended malt from William Grant & Sons, in a 70cl bottle. It combines malts from the Kininvie, Balvenie and Glenfiddich distilleries and is put together in small batches of 27 casks. The name nods to the maltmen who turned barley by hand with a wooden shovel. Monkey Shoulder was the nickname for the temporary shoulder strain that work could cause. The nose is floral, with orange, soft fresh fruit, spiced oak honey and vanilla. The palate is sweet, with vanilla, brown sugar, creamy toffee, oak and a little spice. The finish is long and sweet.
