A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC from Cirelli, with an intense ruby colour and violet reflections. The nose is direct, with ripe plum, black cherry, undergrowth, black pepper and a floral hint. On the palate it is medium-full bodied, with soft, well-blended tannins and balanced acidity that keeps the sip fresh and smooth.
It suits everyday drinking and pairs with ragù pasta, grilled meats, cured meats and medium-aged cheeses. Serve slightly cool; it may gain a few months in bottle to soften youthful edges.
