This is a 12 year old single malt from Braeval, released as Moonbroch Spaceman. It was distilled in April 2009, matured in a sherry butt and bottled in February 2022 at 50.7% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is warmly sweet, with pink Starburst sweets and a bright sherry character of fresh peaches and nectarines. On the palate the cask is restrained: mild tannin and delicate European oak leave room for a balanced, malty flavour. The whisky is also described as earthy and grassy.
