Mortlach 16 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at 43.4% ABV. The distillery dates from 1823, and this sixteen-year-old is matured in sherry casks. It has a very pale amber colour. The nose is intense yet subtle, with fruit and flowers to the fore. The palate is rich and balanced, with notes of cooked fruit and a fresh quality. The finish is long and lingers pleasantly.
