Mortlach 26 Years Old is part of the 2019 Special Release. It was distilled in 1993 and matured in a combination of first-fill Pedro Ximénez and oloroso sherry casks, then bottled at 26 years old. The outturn is 3,883 bottles.
On the nose there is leather, polished wood, fresh pastry and dried dates and apricots. The palate is full and powerful, with creamy leather and tobacco followed by sweet fudge, chocolate and vanilla. The finish is long and spicy, turning to chocolate with salted caramel.
