The nose is typically described as gingersnaps and orange peel, with roast chestnut, apple and blackcurrant pie, and quince. The palate opens with mature oak, then prune, clove and macadamia nut, with a touch of baked earth. The finish is long, with oily walnut and chewy raisin, and more ginger appearing later.
