This is a 32 year old Speyside single malt from Mortlach, distilled in 1971 and bottled by the distillery at 50.1% in a 70cl bottle. It was released as part of Diageo's Super Premium series. In the glass it is a light, pale straw colour. The nose is floral, with meadow flowers, buttercup and pollen alongside farmy hints, porridge, green banana and hot milk, then acacia honey and a little coconut milk. The palate is creamy and sweet, turning gingery with white pepper and nutmeg, with light caramel and honey behind. The finish is long and quite peppery.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
