This is a 20 year old Speyside single malt from Mortlach, distilled on 11 March 1997 and matured in a single cask, number 2977. It was bottled in September 2017 at a cask strength of 50.2% ABV for the Mackillop's Choice range, in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 194 bottles.
The nose is warm, round and mature, with toffee sweetness and hints of angelica. On the palate there are toffee and vanilla, along with nuts, nougat and some peppery spice.
The finish is long, powerful and quite spicy.
