Mortlach 20 Year Old is an official bottling of Speyside single malt, released in mid-2018 and bottled at 43.4% in a 70cl bottle.
It matured for the full 20 years exclusively in sherry casks.
The nose is dense and elegant, with dried fruit, cedar wood, leather and tobacco. The palate is robust and oily, with aromatic citrus and wood spice that opens into a dark, meaty note of barbecue pork crackling, brightened by berries, jam and cocoa nibs. The finish is deep and complex, with gingerbread, raisin and a hint of liquorice.
