This is a 1991 Mortlach 21 year old from Speyside, part of the First Cask Series. It was distilled on 1 October 1991 and comes from cask 7715, bottle number 191. Its colour is gold.
The nose starts with plenty of olive oil, then moves towards old books. On the palate there is lemon and grapefruit, then sawdust and white pepper, a mineral side and a touch of salted candle wax. The finish brings the olive oil back, with candy sugar.
