A 25 year old Speyside single malt from Mortlach, matured in sherry casks and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Distillery Labels range. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Mortlach is in Dufftown and distils its spirit two and a half times.
The nose has toasted barley and bold citrus, leading to rich sherry and fruity dumpling. The palate brings chocolate orange, summer pudding, toffee apple, Christmas cake spices and vanilla oak. The finish is long, with milk chocolate, espresso coffee and toasted nuts.
