Mortlach 26 Year Old is a 2019 Special Release single malt Scotch whisky from Dufftown, bottled at 53.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a small batch of 3,883 bottles, matured in first-fill Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso seasoned casks.
Mortlach is known as 'The Beast of Dufftown' for its robust, umami-rich character. The nose offers dark fruits in liqueur, old oak and soft leather, moving to hard toffee and chocolate-covered coffee beans. The palate is smooth and sweet with damson, lightly savoury and spicy-dry, and the finish is long, mellow and spicy with fruit.
