Mortlach – 7 Year Old 2014 Very Cloudy Signatory Vintage (70cl, 40%)

A seven-year-old Mortlach bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Very Cloudy range, at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks and is bottled without chill filtration or added colour. Mortlach was founded in 1823 and is one of the few distilleries to use partial triple distillation. Very Cloudy bottlings are made up from small batches of a few casks, and the whisky has a slightly cloudy appearance. The character is rich and fruity, with notes of cooked apple, vanilla, almonds and sweet spices.
