This is a 15 year old single grain from North British, a Lowland distillery in Edinburgh. It was distilled in 2003 and bottled on 15 April 2019 at 46% as No. 24 in the Mossburn Vintage Casks series, without colouring or chill-filtration. North British began making whisky in 1887 and uses three Coffey stills. The nose is creamy vanilla and light oak, with fresh straw and a little ginger. On the palate the light oak continues, with a touch of lemon and mild pepper. The finish carries a soft sweetness.
