Murray McDavid Coastal Embrace 30 Year Old (70cl, 52.6%)

Coastal Embrace is a 30 year old blended malt from Murray McDavid, bottled in its Mission Gold range at 52.6% in a 70cl bottle. A total of 191 bottles were filled. The blend draws on distilleries along the coast, among them Highland Park, Laphroaig and Bunnahabhain, supported by several well-loved Speyside single malts. Its final six years were spent in an Oloroso sherry cask. On the nose there are caramelised, toasted nuts and ripe dark plums. The palate brings cherry, almond cake and toffee, and the finish is long, elegant and subtly smoky.
