Ex-bourbon cask finish
A 31 year old Tamdhu from 1987, bottled by Murray McDavid at cask strength. It is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. Murray McDavid finished the whisky in a small 110 litre ex-bourbon cask from Koval Distillery in Chicago. The finish brings out fruit salad, oak spice and orange, and gives the whisky a creamier mouthfeel. This Tamdhu dates from before the distillery's modern period, when there was arguably less emphasis on sherry maturation.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
