Musella Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG 2018 (37.5cl)

This is a 2018 Recioto della Valpolicella from Musella, in a 37.5cl bottle. The estate began making it in 1998 with one aim: to use only the best grapes in the best years. Corvina, corvinone, rondinella, croatina and oseleta are dried slowly for 150 days. Fermentation continues for about two months, then the wine rests for two years in wood and at least a further year in bottle. It shows a colour between ruby and garnet. The nose offers cherries in spirit, aromatic herbs and spicier hints. The palate is succulent, with a well-balanced sweetness that is never too sharp. It suits desserts and dry pastries at the end of a meal.
