A Nebbiolo from the Langhe DOC, produced by Paolo Giordano.
It shows a light ruby colour with garnet reflections, with compact red fruit, faded rose and a hint of undergrowth. Fresh acidity and well-defined but not intrusive tannins give structure without weight, leading to a savoury, slightly spicy finish.
It pairs well with earthy dishes such as tagliatelle with ragù, white meat roasts, sautéed mushrooms and medium-aged cheeses. Serve at around 16-18 °C; a brief decanting can round out more austere profiles.
