Nikka Black Special in the Mosaic Graphic design, a bottle from the 1980s in a 72cl size, bottled at 42% ABV. Nikka was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, who created the Yoichi distillery on the island of Hokkaido after studying in Scotland. He studied organic chemistry at the University of Glasgow and apprenticed at Longmorn and Hazelburn distilleries. Nikka also owns Ben Nevis distillery and ships malt whisky from there to Japan for use in Nikka Black.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
