Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky

Nikka Coffey Malt is a malt whisky distilled at the Miyagikyo distillery in Japan in Coffey stills, a continuous still type normally used for grain whisky. The stills were imported from Scotland in 1963. It was once released only as single casks, and joined Nikka's core range in 2014. Distilling malt in these stills gives a fruity, spicy character. This bottling was produced before Japanese whisky labelling standards were introduced in February 2021. It was named Japanese Whisky of the Year for 2018 in the Whisky Bible.
