Nikka Super Nikka

Super Nikka, also known as Super Rare Old, is a Japanese blend from Nikka first introduced in the 1960s. It is made from malt and grain whiskies from both the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, and comes in a decanter-style bottle with a gold-accented label. This bottling was produced before Japan's whisky labelling standards came in during February 2021. The nose has complex spices, dried herbs, nuts and citrus. The palate brings golden syrup, honey, lemongrass, nougat and fragrant oak, with redcurrant, potpourri and a faint peat smoke. The finish is more fragrant oak, with ginger and clove.
