Nikka Super Rare Old Yoichi Limited Design (50cl, 43%)

A blended Japanese whisky in a limited edition with artwork of the Yoichi distillery on the label. The blend has been made since 1962, in a glass bottle shaped to suggest a whisky still, and was created in memory of Masataka Taketsuru's wife, Rita. It contains a high proportion of malt from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. The nose is malty and rich, with caramel, vanilla, chocolate, hints of citrus and toasted oak. The palate is rich and fruity, with banana, malt, ginger and caramel. The finish is short to medium in length, with more banana, milk chocolate and a hint of pepper.
