Nikka Taketsuru 21 Year Old is a pure malt, which is to say a blended malt, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It combines single malts from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries and carries a 21-year age statement. It belongs to Nikka's Taketsuru range and was discontinued when Nikka withdrew its age-statement whiskies in 2015. It has repeatedly been named World's Best Blended Malt at the World Whiskies Awards.
