This is a 14 year old whisky from North British, bottled by The Caskhound as part of its Stillman's Gold series at 55.7% ABV. It was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2023, having matured fully in a single red wine cask. The outturn was 397 bottles, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is winey, with honey sweetness, a hint of furniture polish, Danish pastry and herbs. The palate mixes desiccated coconut, pineapple and marzipan, followed by rum-soaked fruit, spice and red wine notes, turning dry. The finish is fairly long: dark chocolate first, then Mon Cherie and cocoa powder, ending in dry oak spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
