This is a 17 year old single grain whisky from North British in the Lowlands, bottled by Living Souls in 2026 at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in red wine casks, which add a vinous depth to the smooth butterscotch character of the grain spirit.
The tasting notes describe a velvety, layered dram with dark cherry jam, spiced plum and toasted marshmallow, supported by dark chocolate and charred oak, and ending in a warming finish of fruit and spice.
