A single grain Scotch whisky from North British, aged 34 years and bottled by Thompson Bros at 40.1% ABV.
The nose is demerara sugar and rich custard, with a sweetness like fruit jellies, a faint rubbery note and a sawdusty mustiness. Stone fruit comes through with time.
The palate opens with honeycomb wax, then stewed plums and floral plum jam, with an oily texture and firm wood. The finish starts with honey on toast and fades into citrus pith, as the woody notes soften.
