A 40 year old single grain Scotch whisky from North British, bottled by Cadenhead's from its Chairman's Stock. It is bottled at a cask strength of 51.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was distilled in 1985 and matured for 40 years in a refill butt, then bottled on 6 November 2025. The outturn is 498 bottles.
The nose is fresh, with nettle soup, coconut milk and hops. The palate is rich, with brown sugar, rye bread, cognac, toffee, sweets and toasted oats. The finish is creamy, with aniseed, white chocolate and almonds.
