A 38-year-old single cask Lowland single grain from North British, bottled by Master of Malt in a 70cl bottle at 46.6%. It was distilled in 1988, matured in a refill barrel and bottled in 2026. It has no added colouring and is not smoky.
The nose is dense and sweet, with warm waffles and maple syrup, toffee, chocolate caramel, roasted nuts and polished oak. The palate has smooth layers of golden syrup and pancake batter, a brief flash of ginger warmth, then liquid caramel, peanut butter cups and dark chocolate truffles. Cocoa and almonds mark the finish, which ends with brown sugar, crumbly tablet, browned butter and a little ginger.
