Second fill sherry butt
This is a single grain whisky from the North British distillery in the Lowlands, distilled on 19 May 2011 and bottled on 13 March 2025 from a single second-fill sherry butt. It is 13 years old, with 721 bottles at 50.1% ABV in a 70cl size, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. Brave New Spirits selected the cask for its Cask Masters range, in the Golden Proof line, which is set at around 50%. The sherry finish adds dark sweetness and spice, while a mild grain sweetness stays present. The nose shows cinnamon, burnt caramel, dark chocolate and a little aniseed. The palate is full, with roasted notes, bittersweet cocoa bean and a hint of liquorice. The finish brings caramel crust, dark chocolate, aniseed and wood.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
