This is a 33 year old single grain whisky from North British, distilled in 1988 and matured in a refill hogshead. It was bottled by Hunter Laing at 48.7% in its Sovereign range. North British is one of only six dedicated grain distilleries in Scotland. It was founded in 1885 by Andrew Usher, William Sanderson, James Watson and John Crabbie, who built it to challenge the Distillers Company's hold on the grain supply. The nose is full of strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants. On the palate come banana, pineapple and oily black pepper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
