A 34-year-old single grain whisky from the North British distillery in the Lowlands, selected by Thompson Bros. for its An Edinburgh Dram series. The nose pairs ripe apricot with brown sugar and soft vanilla. On the palate plum and juicy melon sit alongside gentle toffee and vanilla, while pronounced oak gives the body a firm structure. The finish is long, with bright lemon and a hint of black pepper, closing on a touch of spiced wood.
