North British Single Grain 17 Year Old is a Lowland grain whisky distilled at North British Distillery in Edinburgh. Thompson Bros. selected the sherry casks and bottled it at 48% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The nose shows raisins, dates and dark dried fruit with caramel, toffee and vanilla, plus orange chocolate, polished wood and fine spice. The palate is soft and creamy, with dark caramel, burnt sugar, raisins, figs and milk chocolate, along with nuts and a pleasant spice. The finish is long, sweet and spicy, with toffee, oak, dried fruit and a touch of cocoa.
