North Star Benrinnes 2013 10 Year Old (70cl, 59.5%)

This is a 10 year old Speyside single malt from Benrinnes, distilled in 2013 and bottled independently by North Star Spirits. It comes in a 70cl bottle at a cask strength of 59.5%, without chill-filtration and with natural colour. The notes describe a malty, fruity whisky with a savoury, meaty depth and a full texture. The nose is rich and malty, with baked orchard fruit, honey, caramel, orange peel and dried apricot. The palate is full-bodied, with ripe apple, dark honey, pepper, ginger and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with malt sweetness, dried fruit and gently drying oak.
