An 8 year old double oaked, wheated bourbon from Nulu, bottled from a single barrel (#W110) at 65% ABV as the pick for the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown. The mash bill is 51% corn, 45% wheat and 4% rye, and the whiskey was finished for 18 months in a second #3 char barrel.
The nose is soft, with confectioners' sugar, honey, ripe golden apples and milk chocolate. The palate opens with pot de crème, baking spices and toasted oak, then the spice builds alongside baked apple and pie crust.
