Nyborg Whisky Ultimate Splendour is a five-year-old whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 51% ABV. It is the third and last release in the Iberian Beauty trilogy, for which one third of the same cask was bottled each December from 2019 to 2021.
The whisky began in two STR wine casks from Portugal. In September 2019 it moved into a 500-litre Oloroso sherry cask that had just been emptied of sherry which had rested in it for 40 years. It matured from December 2016 to December 2021.
It is described as full and sweet, with complexity and a developed fruitiness.
