A 14-year-old single malt from Oban, the distillery in the coastal town of the same name on Scotland's west coast. Founded in 1794, it matured here in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It is bottled at 43%, chill-filtered and with added colour.
The nose combines ripe fruit, citrus, honey and a salty sea breeze, with light smoke and gentle spice. The palate is full and balanced, with sweet malt, dried fruit, a hint of peat smoke and light saltiness. The finish is long, with oak and spices that fade warmly.
