Oban 14 Years is a single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the most westerly distillery on the Scottish mainland, in the town of Oban on Oban Bay, where ferries leave for the islands off the west coast.
The name comes from An Ob, the old name for the surrounding area, meaning little bay of caves.
It is usually described as slightly dry and smoky, with malt and fruit notes, leading to a long, rich and pleasant finish.
