Octomore 14.3 Peated Single Malt (70cl, 61.4%)

Octomore 14.3 is a peated single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay. It is made from 100% Islay-grown Concerto barley from the Octomore farm, two miles from the distillery, harvested in 2016 and distilled in 2017. The malt is super heavily peated, at 214.2 ppm phenols. The whisky matured for five years, half in first-fill ex-American whisky casks and half in second-fill wine casks, so that the oak influences the spirit without overpowering the grain. Chief distiller Adam Hannett drew out the flavour of the Islay barley, and the whisky is bottled at 61.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
