Octomore 14.3 is an Islay single malt made with barley grown on Octomore farm, two miles from the distillery. The barley gives it a cereal-led character.
It was matured in a combination of first-fill ex-American whiskey casks and second-fill wine casks, with the oak shaping the whisky without overpowering the grain.
The nose opens with hot, sweet mash and soft malted-barley biscuit, alongside earthy peat smoke. Creamy porridge and cereal notes follow, balanced by butterscotch, honeycomb and a hint of vanilla.
