Octomore 15.2 is a five-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Islay, made from 100% Scottish barley peated to 108.2 PPM.
It was matured in a combination of casks: American oak, second-fill wine and bourbon casks, and first-fill Cognac casks.
The nose is soft and floral, with toasted oak and nutmeg. The palate shows caramel and creamy vanilla with mineral notes and dry peat smoke. The finish is long, with the influence of the Cognac casks giving a smooth close.
